General Event Questions
Our Dance the Magic parade events are open to experienced dancers that are at Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels. We ask that you invite dancers who will represent your studio, Dance the Magic and Disney well, and who can perform with a smile and lots of personality! The quality of performance is very important because you are performing at the high caliber venues in the Disney Parks!
Studios will receive a YouTube link of the parade choreography, choreography notes, and music approximately 3 months prior to their performance. Dancer deposits must be submitted prior to receiving the choreography.
We highly suggest allotting specific studio time/classes for dancers to learn, practice, build stamina, and clean the routine prior to their parade performance. Studios will need to submit a video of their dancers performing the parade choreography for 2 loops one month prior to their performance for their Video Evaluation.
Due to the nature of our events, we cannot guarantee extended play time in the parks on event days. We do our best to schedule time in the parks, but we do have to abide to Disney’s time frame. If this is a concern, we suggest extending your stay by staying an extra day to enjoy playing in the Disney Parks.
The Disney Resorts are constantly changing atmosphere entertainment throughout the parks. Dance the Magic and Disney work closely to ensure our rehearsal and performing schedules are syncretized with the rest of the resort. Because of this, you will receive your final information approx. 10 days prior to the event. We encourage you to set up a parent cell phone tree prior to arrival at the park. This is essential to disburse information should there be any changes to the schedule.
